In a system with a small amount of harmonic current, a tuning reactor should be connected in series with the compensation capacitor bank, that is, each section of the capacitor bank is composed of a capacitor and a tuning reactor, and the series resonance frequency of this loop should be tuned lower than the lowest harmonic. It is capacitive at the fundamental frequency (50Hz) to provide reactive current to compensate the power factor, and inductive at the harmonic frequency to prevent the harmonic current generated by the parallel resonance from being amplified.
